New For 2011: The Risto Series 2 Shoe in Linea Blanca. These shoes are of the same handmade quality and feel as the previous model of Ristos but come with an updated design and a more comfortable overall fit. These are THE MOST comfortable weightlifting shoes on the market with laces that extend down the arch of the foot allowing adjustments for width down the entire foot. As with all Ristos, these shoes are made of high quality leather and a solid wood block heel that is proportional to the size of the shoe. A size 40 Risto shoe will have an "actual heel height" of around 1"; respectively smaller sizes will have a lower heel and larger size a higher heel; this makes the shoes anatomically accurate regardless of the height of the wearer. These shoe feel more like wearing a light work boot and run slightly wider than an average athletic shoe.

How to Select Your Size Using the Risto Sizing Chart

RISTOS SHOES ARE NOT MEASURED IN EUROPEAN SIZES!

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY TO ENSURE A PROPER FIT

Measure your bare foot from heel to toe by placing your foot against a wall and measuring from the wall to the end of your LONGEST TOE. DO NOT trace your foot and measure the tracing as this does not take into account the length of your heel bone. Add 1 centimeter OR a ½ inch to your measurement. Look for the closest number to this in the "Interior Shoe Length" columns of the Sizing Chart. Scroll across to the left to see what the Risto Size is at that measurement. (If you fall between two sizes it is usually best to round up and select the larger size.)

In other words, you want to order a shoe that is a centimeter or half inch longer than your bare foot measurement.

Stuck Between Two Sizes? - If your measurement happens to fall between two sizes it is best to round up to the next size. It is much easier to wear a thicker pair of socks than it is to amputate toes!

Example: Your foot measures 10 inches from heel to toe. You would add a half inch to that measurement and find the closest size using the sizing chart. We find that 10.55 inches is the closest interior length, which equals a size 40 Risto.
